I don't think it would benefit the environmental movement to have the slimy Jim Hoffa on their side. You may wish to ignore his desire to reduce anti-organized crime oversight of the Teamsters Union. But, it would be hard to ignore the fact that he would throw environmental regulations under the double-trailer, extended sleeper cab semi if regulations ever threatened the trucking jobs or manufacturing jobs that he represents.
