I get my dad to buy mine. He gets a box of 100 strips for $2.20 as he is a senior. For me to buy the same ones would cost $14.50. Considering one box lasts around 20 days it gets very expensive quickly. Then there's the cost of insulin and doctor/specialist appointments....

I have heard about this diabetic tattoo idea for over a decade now. I'll believe it when I see it. I call vaporware.

Research shows that long (especially double-walled) carbon nanotubes could lead to lung cancer (if inhaled)http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=c ... (dated 5/20/2009)The nanotubes in the tattoo ink would probably have to be small enough for macrophages to "eat."
