I don't get this digg bias for BD. Most of the people here bash Sony and the PS3 all day long, but then want to back a format which Sony is the strongest supporter of. There's no real word difference in the formats, other than one involves expensive new equipment to press (which Sony has most of) and the other needs a less expensive retooling of DVD factories; one has players at sub $200 already, the other has players that are still in the $400-600 range.Anyways, Walmart is more likely to go with HDDVD for those very reasons, and I'm betting all these stores dropping HDDVD will start reconsidering that choice fast.

How about dollars per movie? Dollars per hour? 'Cause that's all the consumer cares about. The minor difference in bitrate (also keep in mind that the studios usually don't fill the disc) is negligible in comparison.
