sportsillustrated.cnn.com — The Rays, who had never won more than 70 games in a season before winning 97 and making the playoffs for the first time this year, also are introducing what the team is calling "marquee" games -- 11 Saturday dates that will include a postgame concert or "premium" giveaway promotion. The price range for those games is $13 to $240.

thats not much of a price increase really. plus, they put a good product on the field, so they have the right to charge people more to see that than the 100 loss teams of the previous 10 years. look at it this way... if the team makes more money, they can afford to keep some of the young players like longoria and upton when they're looking for big contracts in a few years.

No, they sold out their seats in the ALDS and ALCS and chose not to sell the lot of obstructed view seats. But since MLB is in charge of ticketing in the World Series, they made them sell them all because it's really bad PR to see empty seats on baseball's biggest stage of the season.

Better than the Toronto Maple Leafs. They charge the most in the league, and the average ticket price has gone up every year for the past, like, decade. Especially since the lockout, even though we've missed the playoffs every year since the lockout, and are getting worse by the year.$97 is the average ticket price for a leafs game...a Hurricanes or Sabres game is about $33.
