Flannol, I originally tried to do lightning exposures by trial and error by setting my shutter to 20 second bursts, I would miss quite a few because I was in between shots. Yes f/12 in this case would probably be too low, f/22 might be ok. This particular picture was 20seconds at f/16. I was just giving some words of wisdom about stopping down (in my case f/12 worked).Thank you for pointing it out, but the method while might be the same as what was described, could be interpreted differently by just setting a 20 second shutter vs. holding shutter open then releasing.. Needless to say this is a sweet shot.
