my history teacher told me about it in 11th grade World History...he said during the Muslim Invasions...he 15th century or therabouts....the 2 armies (Muslims and Hindus) would 'poison' their weapons...the Muslims put cow fat to demoralize the Hindu's (for having something from their sacred cow killing them) and the Hindu's retaliated by putting pig grease on their weapons, so the Muslim's would die by 'unclean' methods. He pointed out this was an early use of both 'biological warfare' and propaganda
