arstechnica.com — Palm's new phone is great for keeping you connected while on the road, but you can't do cloud messaging when you're physically in the clouds. You also can't play games, because there really aren't any, and in fact the Pre doesn't offer much in the way of sheer fun, unless your idea of fun is tweeting about the lack of available apps in Palm's store

Palm knows how to make a good interface. They did a great job back in the day with palmOS, they just sat on it way too long. It was a great interface for the time, they just needed to flex their muscles again. Remember, the basic palm interface was made when windows 98 and mac os9 were around (or even earlier).

In your pocket with your keys, loose change and possibly movie tickets? What if the get lost when you go to fish for change, your movie ticket or your keys? That is just one more thing to potentially lose. There is also the issue of having to manually manage what is on each card since it would be impossible to sync items from a library onto multiple cards unless the software prompted for "insert card n of n".

I chose Pre because it was cheaper with Sprint over the long run. The Pre being on par or better than the iPhone in many aspects clinched the deal for me.
