Unlockable content on the disc you've already paid for which is earned through gameplay is great.Unlockable content on the disc you've already paid for which costs money seems like extortion.
Honestly, the costume pack doesn't bother me because it doesn't affect the gameplay at all.Now, if capcom started charging money for additional characters, then I'd be pissed.
Personally , I Preorder from amazon (usually 10% off retail).Sign up for a new account using gamename@somedomainIown.com (the email doesnt exsist , but I use a catch all to get the notices/trick amazon when the email doesnt bounce)Apply the 10$ off for new customers coupon.Take advantage of the Free shipping and lack of provincial sales tax (another 10% off for me).Receive brand new games 2-3 days after launch for 30%-40% less than I would have paid preordering or walking into the local chain game shop.I got RE5 for 44$ CDN tax and shipping included (and used similar metheods for KZ2 , SF4,Sonics Ultimate ect ect the rip off amazon list goes on). basically its new games at launch for used prices... sweet.
