arstechnica.com — T-Mobile and Microsoft/Danger have told Sidekick users who have been suffering for a data outage this week that their data is gone for good. So far, tech punditry's read on this massive, high-profile data loss is that it's a black eye for "the cloud." For once, the consensus is spot-on.

I wouldn't say that it is bad for cloud computing as it much to do about management and managing risk at the enterprise level. This should have never happened and all measures should have been taken. Rollback, Backups and backout plans should have been tested and retested. PS: If there's a new opening at Danger/Microsoft for a System/Network Engineer, please email me at dos@comcast.net
