wired.com — The constellation of hacks connected to the TJX hacker is growing. Albert ?Segvec? Gonzalez, a former Secret Service informant, has now been indicted by a federal grand jury, along with two unnamed Russia-based conspirators, with hacking into Heartland Payment Systems, Hannaford Brothers, 7-Eleven, Inc, and two unnamed national retailers.

Whats the point? If it wasn't this guy, it would have been another guy/girl. On one hand this guy is a (insert chosen word here), and on the other he made the company "fix" the problem that was there all along and they never cared/bothered/ or even knew about the flaw. So, thanks to this guy for saving someone else ass later on down the line....there are far worse people out there...

Same here. Two cards (Credit and debit) needed replacing due to the Hannaford breaching. The kid could've used his powers for good.

They keep talking about "level of sophistication involved in these hacks". I would say that this guy isn't that sophisticated since he got caught. He's also complaining to other people about having to count $340,000 by hand because his machine broke. That seems rather stupid.Personally, I think I would rather be one of the "unnamed Russian hackers". They probably still have their money, and they aren't going to be going to the gray bars motel...............

This is such bull. The TJX stores kept credit card numbers for a long time because it was easier to keep it on the server than to properly disposing of it and they used WEP which anybody with half a brain knows that it's insecure all for the sake of saving money. There is a video about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxG2J3bf1BQ
