lifehacker.com — Since the dawn of time, humanity has longed for a simple way to sync Firefox extensions, themes, bookmarks, and saved passwords between computers so that no matter where you're working, your browser is customized in the exact same way. The solution comes in the form of the Microsoft-owned folder syncing and sharing tool, FolderShare.

I'm a Foxmarks man myself. Really fast, and does exactly what I need (which includes the ability to view your bookmarks by visiting foxmarks.com from any computer). I only need my bookmarks synced though. This thing transfers all profile information such as themes, bookmarks, and any other customizations you may have made. It's the big kahoona.

I use Foxmarks, Foldershare, FEBE & CLEO - between them they manage to keep the various Firefox installations I have on different PC's pretty similar.

Interesting enough, for those running Linux or OS X....you don't need this. Just copy the mozilla directory from your home directory to the new computer. You're done.If you want constant syncing, just use the Google Browser Sync extension, or one of the other umpteen-billion syncing extensions. Silly Windows uses needing some extra app to sync things.

There's always other syncing utilities... but they won't provide the seamless level that simply copying your entire profile folder does, which is what this article is about.Additionally, this tool isn't limited to just synchronising Firefox between multiple computers.
