techcrunch.com — Swivel Co-founders Dmitry Dimov and Brian Mulloy start off by describing their company as ?YouTube for Data.? That?s a good start for someone trying to understand it, because the site allows users to upload data - any data - and display it to other users visually. The number of page views your website generates. Or a stock price over time. Weather

probably a fluke.. but, I went there and found two topics on their front page that immediately interested me... volatile temperature swings and electricity profits (got derivatives, you too can cash in on global climate change /sarcasm) and a comparison between MMORG's with real (where real dollars can be earned) economies.cool stuff, dugg

It says one can "upload data - any data", but you can only upload data in the form of a single variable versus time. I can't upload the diameter of various stars and planets, I can't upload the engines available on a Fiat Punto. I can only upload a single variable and its value at various points of time.
