@ubuwalker31 If you get your facts from a "Bowling for Columbine" you a complete f**king dumbass. Have you been to Canada, because I have, and in Winnipeg everyone locks their doors. My bus driver who lived in Winnipeg told me how he had to board up ALL windows on the first floor of his house to stop vandals. So I am just assuming that he would keep his doors locked too.

Self Defense is a Human Right. A gun is an equalizer.

@ TennisOKActually there are 4 official languages of Switzerland.Romansch is pretty much a bastardised version of Latin that was left over from times of Roman occupation.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romansh(I hate to use wiki as a source, but it's got a pretty good definition).

@All The "Wild West" wasn't "Wild" peopleI am not able to find any of the statistics on "crime" in the old west (most places I have looked don't have stats before 1960). I would love to see those. I have done some research (not related to crime statistics) on the western US during the mid to late 1800's and it seemed quite violent (especially if you were not a white male).

Had guns not been banned on campus, there's a good chance someone would have had a gun on their person and put Cho out of his misery. A similar incident on a college campus happened several years ago--the reason you don't hear about it is 2 folks had guns and took the shooter out...and the reason I can't tell you what campus it was is because a) it was in bumf**k and b) it didn't get recycled through the media because 32 people didn't die.

Yes - gun ownership by law abiding citizen deters crime. That is not the same as everyone owning uzis.

The second amendment wasn't created to ensure that people could shoot birds or hunt deer. Also, it wasn't created simply to ensure that people could fight off criminals. It was created for another special purpose... so that if the government ever wanted to crack down on its citizens and take away the other rights of the people, it would have a hard time doing so.All you liberals out there need to consider something. What do you plan to do if the conservative movement in this country becomes more of a fascist movement? If the government suddenly starts locking up your homosexual friends? Determines that atheism is "un-American" and comes to put you in a detention center for being a "terrorist" and acting against the nation? What will you do? Throw rocks?

The US is militant. When you accomplish all your economic goals with brute force the mentality trickles down all through society that might makes right. Switzerland does not start wars. Gangs are the result, NOT the cause of violence. Our monetary system is a sham. Our govenment steals money from every honest citizen and hands it over to banks that use that money to finance wars for profit. Our economy is based on corruption, violence, and death. Unless we are willing to face that and change it the downward spiral will continue to its inevitable end.

"the army should take care of it"But then if your government and therefore your army is taken over by psychotic criminals then you will have no self defense. We have a responsibilty to defend ourselves against tyranny.

They used the same technology as the military of the day. We (the people) must keep the same technology that our modern-day military uses. I do. Are you holding up your part of the deal? Stimulate the economy today - buy an M4 carbine!

Why can't America have sane gun laws!? Oh, wait the NRA is #1 money making lobby influencing legislation. They care more about making money then saving lives!

That is awesome. I here of a similar story in the US. A city called gun town where the law requires every home owner to have a gun. They have one of the lowest crime rates in the country.. Please visit www.LincolnTactical.net to Enter to WIN a RUGER SR9 HANDGUN
