The Stupak amendment was unfortunate but now that birth control will be widely accessible abortions (hopefully) will drop off.The Stupak amendment is Unconstitutional (because it was leveraged by the U.S. Council of Bishops); it violates separation of church and state. If the damn Bishops don't want their congregations to get abortions with their health insurance coverage, they have their own recourse. It's not like getting an abortion is a common, everyday occurrence in the Roman Catholic church.ETA: HR 3962 has its flaws — I eminently prefer single-payer — but what is good about the bill is excellent. I'm willing to give a little if it means pre-existing conditions and recission are going where the goblins go.
Congratulations! You think like a weasel — instead of like a human. We're a social animal. We profit by each others' prosperity. Or did you not take Anthropology 101?
It wasn't posted online for 72 hours which is what she pledged. Why would we rush a vote on a huge bill like this. Surely the more you read and understand it the more likely you are to like it, right, yeah that's right. When are we, both sides, going to start holding politicians to their word?
LOL!Every caregiver I know went into the profession of their own accord. It's not like they're kidnapped from their home, sent to a med school and forced to pay for their education on threat of bodily harm and death. Doctors and nurses want to heal people. Sorry, the slavery allusion doesn't work. Get a new line.
