torrentfreak.com — Shares in GGF rose dramatically yesterday on the news that the company is set to acquire The Pirate Bay. However, about a week ago equity marketplace Aktietorget shut down trading of GGF’s stock after unusually large trading volumes led to a rapidly increasing stock price, prompting suspicions of illegal trading.

When I first saw the story, I announced "Who the f**k IS Global Gaming Factory?" With such a generic name and virtually no 'global' products or services attached to their brand, I think its a question that all TPB users find themselves asking.

They also lost a hell of a lot of money from the lawsuit. If they can recoup that, I say good for them, there are other torrent sites out there.

Who is Global Gaming Factory you ask? It's the RIAA in sheeps clothing. Duh... The RIAA found a crooked judge that they could bribe. Actually, they bribed 2 judges if you count the appeals judge. They convicted TPB founders of some BS charges and fined them 8 million dollars. Now the RIAA is offering the founders 8 million dollars to buy the indexer and, more importantly the tracker, to shut the TPB down for good. It's so easy a cave man could figure it out. =)
