An enthusiasm boost doesn't necessarily equate to more votes. Maybe the doubting republicans no longer doubt, and feel hopeful, but if anything, you've also enthused the democrats because quite frankly, as a democrat I'm happy as hell they picked Sarah Palin. She's given more people reason to vote Democrat than ever.
