washingtonpost.com — It is in this great tradition of crossover voters that I support Barack Obama for president. If the Democratic Party chooses Obama as its candidate, this lifelong Republican will work to get him elected and encourage him to seek strategic solutions to meet America's greatest challenges. To be successful, our president will need bipartisan help.

Another one of these "This is why I support Obama" articles? Are you serious? Well then, here's another "Why I Buried This" comment: because I don't care who Susan Eisenhower supports or does not support and her vote will not be affecting my voting decisions anyways. I'm tired of people of some sort of notoriety (no matter how remote) telling me why they are voting for someone.

you're in the wrong country. No one is interested in socialism, or communism. There are plenty of countries that practice the form of govt. move there.

No kidding. I seriously wonder if the Dems and the American people can kick the Repugs out of office.

How is Obama "not the establishment"? From what I've seen this elecetion, establishment candidates are the one's that the media pay attention to. Like I said before, if they agree on all of the issues, how can anyone say that a significant difference is that "one inspires" or "one is charismatic"? They will have almost the exact same policies and make the same decisions. What would you all do if it were a Clinton/Obama ticket? How would you decide then?

I am very appreciative of Susan's endorsement of Barack Obama and respect her as a concerned Republican. The GOP has been hijacked by lunatics imho.As for Barack, no other candidate has the qualities needed to unite this nation fractured by division. I like Obama's statement that we are the UNITED STATES, not red or blue states. God Bless you Barack Obama, and you too Susan for having such courage to speak out for reason and the betterment of this great nation
