hothardware.com — For the business traveler Wi-Fi is important - crucial, even. But more important than sustenance? That's exactly what was found in a recent survey by American Airlines and HP, where some 47% of business travelers responded that Wi-Fi was the "most important airport amenity, outscoring basic travels needs such as food by nearly 30 percentage points"

I was recently surprised with the availability of free wifi at airports. This was the first time I traveled and I had hours to wait for my first flight, so I pulled out the laptop to watch some videos and out of curiosity looked at whether wifi was available. Found that San Antonio airport (dunno the acronym) and Philadelphia International both had free wifi available. Didn't have enough time to check out Atlanta or Chicago as they were layovers and I didnt have enough time between flights to screw with the laptop.

Who can eat that stuff they serve there anyways? I fly semi-monthly and I end up not eating the entire time I'm in the airport because Charly's Subs/McDonald's/fast food/processed food is gross. The worst is when people take McDonald's onto the plane with them, it's like a pig with a feed bag on.

http://www.seatguru.com/they exist, you just need to look for them... they certainly don't advertise this fact.

God forbid that companies would want to make money. Do you think it's too expensive? Don't use it. Chances are, you *want* to use the wi-fi, but you can survive without it. Especially for a few hours while you wait? Use your cell phone for urgent things, and otherwise read a book.I'm not opposed to reasonably-priced (or free) wi-fi in public places, though. If governments could set up networks in cities, I'm all for it. If airports want to offer free wi-fi, sure. But if something costs too much, don't buy it and the price will go down if the provider wants to make money.
