@bro2baseballThat's a given. What isn't is who will enforce federal law when state and federal laws differ. What this determines is when the laws differ, state/local law enforcement officers will only have the option to uphold state law. They will no longer be able to pick-and-choose, they will have to leave federal law enforcement to the FBI and DEA. The real challenge will come when local/state law enforcement give information to the DEA regarding the locations of state legal use of marijuana. Will they have the legal right to do so?

What happens when law enforcement refuses to obey the law themselves? The law affirmed by the highest court in the land? Nothing apparently. This country is run by the people who control law enforcement. Its not a conspiracy, it just is. You can see it clearly for yourself now.

Guys, don't break out the bongs and Doobie Brother's music quite yet. The refusal to grant a writ of cert isn't nearly the same as actually upholding the decision. If the Supreme Court had granted the writ and upheld the Appellate Court decision, it would be precedent in favor of the states? rights on the issue. A ruling for Kha by the Supreme Court would have been a thumbs up to medical marijuana on the state level. A ruling against Kha would have been a thumbs down. Not granting a writ of cert is (at best) a shrug.
