carestation.agis.com — Usually a story of a husband starting up a relationship with another woman is the subject of gossip and back room whispering, but for former Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O?Connor, her husband?s new romance is not cause for jealousy ? instead, she?s glad.

What an amazing story, and good to know about too. While old age is still a long way out, there is Alzheimer's in my husband's family. I think knowing what to expect is half the battle in confronting such situations with similar grace.

John O’Connor figured out a brilliant way to get rid of his old hag of a wife. All he had to do was pretend he had Alzheimers. His wife pays to have him kept in an expensive nursing home. He gets to bang younger broads at his wife's expense and with her approval. Gottdam, that guy is smart.

Just a little sanctimonious today? Hey, try living through it. Eventually, you realize that A) you are one person - not a trained care facility, and B) That you have to put your ego and feelings aside, and give the person you love the best care - even if that means getting professional assistance.Try it sometime.

Calling it an "affair" is sensationalizing a bit. Not mentioning that it has to do with Alzheimer's in the article description is a waste of my time.
