Very few politicians are in politics to help the world... they may initially but, as is human nature, they can be pursuaded. This is known already by most educated people. But, there are enough ignorant people and enough educated people that either don't have the means to or are too complacent to act that this sort of system will continue. Humans aren't at that level yet where we can all live socially and let tech take over everything else whilst in luxury. We won't ever be. I have always assumed that the world will turn into something like V for Vendetta. It's unavoidable. 1984 is just taking a little longer than originally expected. If the most powerful country in the world is the example to go by... we have been doomed for quite some time. I don't feel as if it's necessarily such a bad thing either... humans don't learn from their mistakes and never will. We deserve this punishment for letting it go on.

There's nothing in the Constitution that mandates adhering to the Geneva convention. I strongly agree with all the issues targeted but inaccurately naming something seems, at its most innocent, poorly thought out, at it's most corrupt, coercive.I apologize for being pedantic - also my horrible comma splicing.

Fashionably Marxist Democrats talking about restoring the Constitution -- a document they've been attempting to dismantle their entire careers? We really do live in Bizarro World.
