I remember one comedian once commenting:If speed is your drug, then America is your country. Americans are addicted to speed. From caffeine to ritain to crystal meth... Americans love their stimulants. Me included. What can say more about our values for ultra-productivity than the need to take drugs to meet those goals?

I was thinking about that too. Back in the day we used to be able to smoke cigarettes everywhere (including doctors offices), now we're not aloud to at work, within 50 feet of an entrance, most public parks (in my area at least), concerts, theaters, airplanes, public buildings, taxis, BARS, etc, etc, etc. I'm seeing TV ads encouraging people not to smoke in their own home (for the children, good idea or not I'd rather not be told what to do in my house by anyone). It seems we're a step away from having cigarettes added to the controlled substance list. With cigarettes out of the way, caffeine and alcohol are the only two remaining legal, OTC 'recreational' drugs remaining. Alcohol Prohibition didn't work out too well, so caffeinated beverage stock holders may want to consider trades.

I say keep drinking your coffee, eating your donuts and McDonalds, don't excersize. We need to thin the herd somehow.
