I never knew that. I always thought Holy water was a Christian thing not just Catholic. In that case for the people that don't know what it is. Its water that has been blessed by a priest that is used in religious ceremony's. People get bottles of it at their church to bring home and use themselves. Its suposed to have healing powers.
No... people blame God for bad stuff all the time. The good and the bad comes to both the righteous and the wicked; I can get into it more if you want, but it's kinda complicated and you need an open mind, something there really isn't time for in the digg comments area, sad to say.
Point taken.. I used the wrong term. As I stated before I don't think any religion has gotten it correct. Who knows... maybe God created a universe that appears to be formed in the way that scientists say it has... I know for a fact that the people in biblical times would never have been able to understand evolution or big bangs or planet formation theory etc. because we weren't advanced enough as a civilization. I would bet that the creation of the world was put into terms that those could understand at the time.
When it comes to Boogie Men, Tooth Fairies, Santa Claus, Telekinesis, Exorcisms, Curses, Magic Elixirs, Angels, Psychics, Tarot Cards, Magical God Beings, The Resurrection of the Dead, oh and Healing Prayer....I'm an intellectually honest Atheist through and through. When it comes to Faster Than Light Travel, 11 Dimensions, Thinking Computers, Terra-forming Mars, Peace in the Middle East, etc....I'm an intellectually honest Agnostic through and through.:)
