I don't know too many everyday one or two beer a day drinkers. I see lots more people who seem to drink to get drunk. The only casual alcohol drinkers in numbers I know of that "might" fit the category is wine drinkers. Wine drinkers are way more obsessive about the taste than beer or mix-drink category but even Wine drinkers can't say they more responsible. I've seen alcohol destroy my Mother's side of the family medically. Alcohol induced hypoglycemia/Diabeties seems to be the popular problems among the moderate drinkers in her family and I had two uncles who were heavy drinkers die (one from liver problems, the other kidney failure). I don't dispute that there may be some potential health benefits but the risks and health problems that arise far out way the benefits. Maybe it would be great if people could control or drink litely but thats not why people drink now is it.

Considering my uncle right now is dying from Liver Cirrosis due to his constant, DAILY drinking, I would say this article is 110% pure bulls**t. Not to mention it pisses me off that someone would have the balls to try to scientifically prove that drinking is good for you.

you can't generalize one person's misgivings with the entire substance. abuse of any substance will have a negative outcome.

I wonder......... does drinking Non-Alcoholic beer the same health benefits that regular beer does without the side-effects? Now the question is, How many people who drink beer would switch to non-alcoholic beer just for the health benefits. In my opinion............Not a lot. People who drink beer/alcoholic beverages don't drink it for their Health.Bottoms UP!

For the person who is addicted the harm far outweighs the benefits. Obviously there are those who never have the affects of addiction. The families of those who are addicted know the true impact of a few beers that lead to totally out of control.

Moderation should always be practiced. In diet and in drinking, moderation is still best.
