arstechnica.com — While the RIAA is touting a settlement percentage north of 25 percent with its recent campaign against file sharing at US colleges and universities, the fact remains that the overwhelming majority of students are shunning the insta-settlement approach.

The RIAA can suck on it. I don't listen to their s**tty music. That's what I got Shoutcast as a good Chillout/Trance channel for. Even if I did get sued by these Americanized terrorists, all my money pays for my tuition and I will be laughing my balls off getting them to try to prove it.WTF is the NSA doing? Aren't we supposed to be fighting terrorists? I guess if the terrorists let you bum rape them for campaign dollars in exchange for immunity to basic human decency laws, then it is alright...right? [sarcasm]

What I think this is leading to, is the music industry Copyright trolling. Just like companies with patents that they never intend to make into a product but want to sue whoever makes it first.Soon the RIAA will only make money from suing "Pirates" because people will be downloading what is no longer sold because the RIAA will have moved from the music business to the Music Portfolio Litigation business.
