wmaz.com— A Jasper County mother says her 8th grade son found a video camera taping in the school bathroom this week. But now, he is the one in trouble.

A janitor found hidden cameras in the walls at my high school and was immediately fired when he confronted the school administration .... what's the world coming to?
"Hey, digg kids. just because you don't like someone's comment because it conflicts with your opinion, don't rate it into the negatives. I'm tried of reading comments that are aimed at a person, I go up to find the name and see that it's been hidden because some jerks want to censor it."Amen. Unless it's flamey, off topic, or spam, none of the reports fit. A conflicting opinion is still on-topic.
BTW, to follow up on my previous post: No, I don't support placing a videocamera in a public bathroom. And, as it happens, anyone who DID place one in a bathroom in such a way he COULD watch people poop (which, clearly, isn't the case here), there is no way on God's green Earth he wouldn't get treated exactly the same as a pedophile or a sex-offender, so it would be an overwelmingly stupid thing to do.
CAMERAS - public personal place - WRONG. To put a camera in a public personal place, like a bathroom is just wrong. To put a camera in a public personal place to catch vandelism, is still WRONG. To put a camera in a public personal place and not having it point directly in a stall (or any other place someone is expceting is private) is still WRONG. So any way u look at this particular situation is WRONG. And who ever put it in there should be PUNISHED and sued.
and to Bariswheel, I agree that we need to find an alternative to the problem.BUT, we still need to point fingers, and have the wrongful act of this principal brought to justice.

+I really doubt the camera is placed in locations where you can see genitals -- like in the toilet.

If Jasper County Superintendent Jay Brinson knew about it... then perhaps someone should look for MORE cameras... Remember this last month?http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1117051texcam1.htmlLets hope we see Jay Brinson and Howard Fore on The Smoking Gun too.
