ainotenshi.org— Don't pirate Adobe Photoshop, use Free Software, try the Gimp. You'll find countless tutorials and resources to get started on the Internet

Sorry but have you tried the new version of Photoshop? With it's new features nothing out there comes even remotely close to what Photoshop has to offer right now. Sorry Gimp, but I'd take Photoshop over you any day.
Skimming over the comments I notice a few common threads. First is laziness. Odd because if they had invested the same amount of time just looking at what GIMP can do for them and learning how to use it as they did pirating Photoshop, they'd be well on their way to using it. Maybe laziness isn't first - immorality is first. Stealing is stealing. If you are using Adobe's product, but not using it on their terms, you are a thief. No amount of cute excuses can change that. Hopefully the companies that produce quality software will get to a point where they can actually catch a significant number of people using pirated software and make their life miserable with fines and/or jail time.
You realize practically every legit company has a registered copy, right? Trust me, Adobe makes a good penny from their software - it's the sole reason why they had the cash to buy Macromedia. And, ask yourself this... if they aren't making any revenue... then why would they ever purchase Macromedia for Flash? Flash is probably right behind Photoshop in the most pirated graphic programs category.Because, although I have a pirated copy of both since their earliest versions for my personal home use... a couple grand for the industry standard graphics software is a drop in the bucket for a real company that actually makes MONEY from what they produce with the software. Most people think it's expensive and completely out of their reach because they don't actually use it to profit personally. However, most professionals look at it as 1) a write-off, and 2) something that will pay for itself after a project or two.

We have tried, but the Gimp developers ignore users for the most part.
