theinquirer.net— What am I talking about? It seems every site that puts up content that is not owned by a major media outlet that has a TV channel is now blogging.

This guy is a total idiot. His definition of "blog" is simply wrong. This dumbass seems to think blog==livejournal. A blog isn't a website where you log your "personal experiences," it's a log of your web experiences! That's why the classic blogs, like robot wisdom, consist solely of links to cool s**t the blogger found on the web.And what's with claiming BoingBoing isn't a blog because it's popular and has multiple authors? Its whole "wunderkammer" philosophy is exactly what blogging's about...
Podcasting also. My local radio station says things like "Podcasting 8 in a row" meaing they are playing the next 8 songs in row. This "Podcasting" is not available on there website.
The generation [insert generation name here] kids are too dumb to actually design a webpage. I was part of the webpage boom of the 90s when I was maybe 10 but I actually had content on my page.

CNN has those two "geek" women who actually read web sites aloud for the morons in the audience for whom the web is too scary. How about getting them to read -this- article?Or maybe better, submit it to Romenesko: http://poynter.org/column.asp?id=45...so that journalists can read it.

And while we are at it, stop calling them jumps. "Hit the jump..." "After the jump..." They are fricken' links, for crying out loud.

Kotaku, etc. are blogs because they don't fact check anything. So they can't be news outlets, they're just aggreators; blogs.

Like it or not, but the term is here to stay. Blog, blog, blog.
