Wake up call my ass! Many of those in intelligence knew of that risk. When Bush and/or Condi said we never expected such an attack, they were lying.I am not in the truthers' camp, but there was a ton of security failures on 9/11 and some pretty strange coincidences that I do not believe were ever properly explained. Mostly, I feel, for the truth would be most of our government is run by dumbass douchebags that we should never trust to run our lives.

@stk: It's to protect everyone's ass. When people start wandering across borders they aren't supposed to NORAD takes notice. Even within North America. That's the point.

My point is the absurdity, the drama, the reaction by the media. It's understandable that an unknown is pursued and investigated. What isn't, is how the unknown gets completely blown out of proportion by the media and (yup) the US government. I use to work for the Government as a soldier. I know first hand how easily they can convince themselves something is a demon and as a result of their self inflicted conclusions, fire-off a Sidewinder to make themselves feel better. Meanwhile, a man -- probably distressed, in need of help. Who needs support and understanding, counseling and perhaps love gets a question from CNN why he wasn't killed. Many more cars cross the border, but not all are inspected and some cross without inspection or papers at all. A Cessna has a radius of destruction not much bigger than a car driving really fast into something, so their reaction is really, quite silly. And Cooper should really just feel like a douche-bag, as should the news media in general for their contrived everything is negative nonsense. It's OK. We live in dark times, we love drama and gross exaggerations, it makes us (or some of us) feel important, makes us (or some of us) feel powerful... it makes us feel justified to exercise our will, our ideologies, our dramas on our fellow human beings without feeling one bit responsible for the outcome. There will be a time when humans realize that we're all the same, that some just have problems and it's how we will deal with those problems that will define our humanity. In the meantime, millions more must die for the sake of someone else's ideas before the masses grab their identities and humanity back... only then allowing for a greater, more responsible, mature and integrated natural mindset.
