You're right on. While they were OVERLY apologetic for the MobleMe outages, yet behaved abysmally on this issue, and others concerning the iPhone proper. And, of course, they still haven't fixed Leopard... and it's already at 10.5.4.Hey, I love'm. But they really should start paying attention to the M$softs, Sonys, and Adobes of the world in terms of hubris.
The fix that I've found works for a short while although it happened again less than 24hrs after I'd fixed it. Given that it can take up to 4 hrs a day to fix, I think I should be billing Apple for my time doing their job for them.

Basically the issue seems to be with iTunes 7.7.1. All my App Store apps crash on launch, too -- 1st gen iPhone, running 2.0.2.Damn.
