flickr.com— Someone's dad complained about his iMac G5 being suddenly "obsolete" to steve@mac.com, and Steve actually wrote back.

That's pretty cool! I didn't know that Steve responded to fanmail.Plus, his response actually answers a question people have been asking about the lifespan of G5 based products. It looks like everyone's going to be supporting them for awhile.
Yes really. And no-one thinks that there is a customer suppor-team that actually responds to anything that arrives at steve@mac.com? They have standard procedures for this.Anyone who thinks Steve is actually reading those mails himself, must be insane.
Steve Jobs emailed me too!!!!!!!!!He said thanks for the the idea of Ipods and making everything white. But that isn't the strange part...after reading the email, forty seven dollars came out of my disc drive. :D
You rember in the matrix movie there was a company where all the workers first name were Smith. What if in the Apple company there is working a customer service team with everybody there named Steve. So if in the end of the mail is Steve. Dosen't mean its Jobs :P
this is true. Steve Jobs actually replies or at least responds to customer's emails. my husband sent me an email just last week saying that one of his colleagues was frustrated due to the problems he encountered with his new imac and he wrote to Jobs. see below: "...After the iMac disaster, I sent a complaint email to Steve Jobs (I googled his address) out of frustration. By the evening, I got a phone call from the manager of SOHO Apple Store, apologized, and said a new iMac is waiting at the door, just show up whenever I want. He also gave me $100 for the cab I took back and forth for repairs…"
Husband has been very, very sick over the last year and a half. Final straw was last week, our 90 lb dog pulled him over and he shattered his shoulder. He gets out of the hospital tomorrow, and I just check his iphone, and its broke. Anyway to get a discount and a new one?? It will break his heart, especially as he will not be really mobile for at least 8 weeks...Steve,let me know.Diane

It is still a great computer which should be supported for at least 5 years, you will probably get a replacement by that time.
