technology.timesonline.co.uk — Could this 40-year-old gym-toned, shaven-headed, Aston Martin-driving Brit, be the next man to run Apple Computer? ?I think Steve Jobs has found somebody in Jony who knows how to complete or even exceed his vision, and do it time and time again,? said Chee Pearlman

I'm not saying it's impossible, but Scott doesn't even report to Steve Jobs, he reports to Bertrand Serlet. So before Forstall gets his shot, you'll have to see Scott promoted to report to Jobs (which presumably will also include Bertrand leaving). You simply can't jump a guy over other people to be CEO and not have serious anger resent within the company.

I thought his presentation of the iPhone at WWDC this summer was crappy - this is the guy that started shaking and said "I'm kinda nervous up here" while fumbling through the iPhone interface. As a result, many people were questioning how good the touchscreen actually performed.he drives a porsche cut me off one day on de Anza, i also heard he is kinda a dick, but I've heard the same about Jobs. dic genius?

I think Ives would be a great successor. It would finally put to rest my worries about who is going to be the top man at Apple after Jobs quits, dies, gets fired.... etc. I guess this time, Jobs has too much power to get canned :)
