slashfilm.com — Today the angels looking down on Scranton, Pennsylvania are crooning ?Beers in Heaven.? Steve Carell has signed on to star as Dunder Mifflin?s quasi-top dog, Michael Scott, on NBC?s The Office for three more years. An understandably elated, Ricky Gervais, broke the news on his blog?

I love The Office, but this is probably the worst thing that could happen to the show. Three more years of attempts at soap opera drama.

Nah, the season premier (in season 1) was by far the best. It's gone downhill (only a teeny tiny bit) ever since.

Dwight: "I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog"

Greetings citizens of "bear-beats-battlestar-gallactica" nation, I come to you with happy tidings (read title of story_), and in this joyous occasion I feel inclined to offer up a bag of oats to the world. Yes, world you can do what ever you like with your oats. They're your oats. In fact, oh world, I will break you up a piece of that poi*son*gas!, just for you. And wait, there's more. This is an invitation to all the world to get their tickets to the gunshow! gosh! this is like coffee from the warehouse! with cream and sugar! This is totally keeping my salary consistent with inflation! this will go into jim's permanent file, as "awesome"! Knock your self in the head with the phone, world, and call your mate diapers! And remember, "Do Not Drink The Coffee!". (Fact: there are basically Two Schools of Thought. Two.)

Should have stopped at season 2. Now bury the s**t out of me you bunch of cavemen with low standards for comedy. The UK knows how to do quality TV. The US channels know exactly how to appeal to the low standards Americans have for TV it seems. GIT ER DONE!!!!

As a resident of Scranton, let me just say that the show is not shot here. None of the actors come here. If you ever meet someone from Scranton, it's best to leave the Office out of your conversation. We've all seen and herd it before.
