stereogum.com — To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Radiohead's OK Computer we've asked some of our favorite musicians to participate in a song-by-song covers compilation. But note: we did this all legal and everything, so we can't keep these up forever...get 'em before someone else does. Ambition makes you look pretty.

I completely agree! I generally use it to fall asleep to for some weird lucid dreams....oh and it's good with drugs too.

So am I the only one who realized that these guys ran out of musical ideas before the first chorus of the first song on that one album that's supposed to be the bee's knees, ankles, hip joint and lower spine? I really did give it a good listen, more than once trying desperately to find something to like, but all I could conjure up was a vision of a bunch of bored kids muckin' about with knobs aimlessly. The proverbial infinite monkeys banging on keyboards could have come up with something vastly better; indeed that YouTube video of the cat tapping the keys of a piano was infinitely more musically innovative than anything those idiots came up with.Cheers

Their version of "Let Down" did not stay true to the original. You could understand all the lyrics.

covers of radiohead just not as good as listening to the original.

I liked Radiodread quite a bit. Dub Side of the Moon, I could lose a few tracks, but it was pretty groovy, too. And this is coming from someone who hardly listens to any dub or reggae. I think they covered the albums tastefully, for the most part. Listening to covers that don't add or change anything seem kind of like listening to karaoke to me.

I dont ever think I could give Easy Star All Star's Radiodread (or Dread Zeppelin) a chance on OK Computer or anything by Radiohead for that matter. but this album made me change my mind about Radiohead covers. I heard the VW one on last.fm first then listened to the whole album and it was mind-blowing. it definitley made me appreciate OK Computer more than I did. I wish I had listened to it when it first came out (the original) but I was probably just a mere fetus. The comments from the artists covering the songs were great to, I love to get in a musician's head.
