In my opinion the damage has already been done. Retracting and apologizing will make no difference to any law enforcement official who heard about this report. The insinuation will always reside in their minds.
That's exactly it.So many of these threads and articles being submitted were complaining because individuals were being compared to militia members, as if that in itself was bad.The problem isn't being compared to militia members. Militias, before being ruined by slander and infiltration from police officers and loonies, are a good thing. In fact, we the people ARE the militia. That problem is that with one broad brush, politicians and law enforcement have stigmatized militias, and then by comparison, used that to slander Ron Paul / Constitution supporters. It bothers me that this has gone unnoticed through must of the discussions on this.
