This is not on the Laserdiscs. I own 3 different versions of the laserdiscs, including the collectors edition, and none of them have this THX animation on them.
It uses the death star explosion shockwave from the special edition (don't remember if that was Hope or Jedi) placing it at least 1997 well after Lucas sold Pixar.
Well seems I'm the only one who didn't care about the inacurracy of the title, and noticed the blue proton torpedoes. The movie had pink/red torpedoes, Whereas, the games had blue proton torpedoes.I actually prefer the blue torpedoes, but it is technically inaccurate.
The movie had pink/red torpedoes, Whereas, the games had blue proton torpedoes. star wars is old and boring now, it's not by pixar (CLEARLY indicated by the credits), and it isn't even a good animation. I hope to see more improvement to this video. Star Wars Original Trilogy Rocks! http://article.swpremiumstatue.com
Boy... the credits right on the video say who did it. Of course it's not PIXAR. Not even in their most early days would they do something of that quality. But then again they're a multi-billion dollar company with infinite resources. Our little THX trailer was made for free on the time budget of people with real jobs, and women to chase. So some of you can stick with your macho guber-nerd crap. Who's more the nerd? The people out there who are actually doing this stuff for fun and actually work in the industry "Professionally"... or your crap surfing around on the net just to be a jerk and bash other people? You're probably just a bitter nerd who has nothing else to do but pop your pimples and dream about a girl actually talking to you. Rob Meyers actually is a pro out in California who works on about 1/2 the big budget special effects movies in Hollywood. Quality is affected by two things... (IF you have the skills).. time and money.. and money and time. They're interchangable. This stuff takes MASSIVE amounts of time to do and it's only going to be so good on a budget of FREE. 1/2 the tv shows now use the effects and software that fan film makers have been using for years before. People that weren't already working professionally found their way into even places like ILM and PIXAR and others making fan films. True story. It's just a hobby for some. No different than the kool skateboarder who learned in the local park. Or the pro BMX'r, snowboarder who started off posting Youtube videos of insane tricks. OH and another comment I saw. They actually stole the idea from us for the THX concept. We did it first.
