Did it hit a nerve? I've been saying this for years - people who obsessively memorise huge amounts of junk information on their favourite hobby, whatever, are nerds... It's not necessarily a bad thing, but people should be more honest about themselves...
this is the Tarantino / Kevin Smith influence in indie film makers. They all think that witty / fast paced / ultra crazy-cool dialogue should be flowing from every character on screen.
