I still think it will suck hard. The fact they are releasing it early only gives incentive to pirates. It will probably be uploaded tomorrow.

This just means that it will be pirated immensely as SciFi fans know how to use bittorrent. When will hollywood learn that it needs to do simultanous world-wide releases to mitigate piracy?!

"...the couple of hundred fans failed to fill the sprawling Harbour forecourt, which organisers expected to be packed."Perhaps I've just been particularly busy this last month or two, but it seems to me that this event wasn't advertised nearly enough.Don't get me wrong I'm not a trekkie or anything like that, but I *am* from Sydney. A Star Trek world premiere with a few of the actors attending may have been worth catching...if only I'd known about it :(

What do you mean "a month"? We're usually a solid YEAR behind the USA. In fact, I could order Stargate SG-1 on DVD from Amazon.com, have it shipped here to Australia and watch the whole season before it aired on Australian Free to Air. If I had Pay TV (Foxtel) I wouldn't have had to wait so long, but the cost is a joke.

A whole year? Sorry, I had no idea. Extra reason to enjoy the new Star Trek movie before the rest of the world can!
