Although I think he exaggerates sometimes, I'm with him on this one. I personally would prefer the companies be forced to release the source code of the software after 5 years, not only the binaries. Just imagine the PC landscape today if the open source community could have access to the Windows source code, for example. You could create a free operating system, improved by the community, with the familiarity of Windows, so that even grandma would know how to use it.
