brooklynrail.org— An Internet stalker drove former Wikipedia editor David Shankbone off the site. He describes the growing harassment problem that targets the nonprofit website's most dedicated volunteers.

You sound more like you have a personal ax to grind with Shankbone than anything else. You take a one-time posting of a cat photo as "cyber-stalking" and assume he set this whole thing three month long saga up as a ruse, even though it was investigated by the Wikimedia Foundation? I guess you are one of the ones he mentioned who "agree with the stalking" - I bet you never spoke up against it. You've also set up an impossible situation: how could one ever prove what you ask to proven? They can't. So, you disparage a person who has already had violent threats over three months...it says more about you than it does about him, Karb. At least Shankbone has been willing to stand up to the stalking and say, "This happened." You seem more like a coward behind an anonymous screen name casting baseless suggestions, afraid to step out of the shadows yourself. Well, most people know your kind. Maybe YOU are the stalker. I would believe it.
"Wikipedia has serious problems. Talking about them isn't allowed on Wikipedia - it's a very strange situation." Are you intentionally not telling the truth, or are you just uninformed? Both PrivateMusings and Docglasgow talked about the problems on Wikipedia all the time. Jimbo Wales' talk page is another area where problems with Wikipedia are discussed. What you have are disruptive people like Gregory Kohs and Jon Awbrey who simply do not get what they want from the site, and complain that multiple, multiple people are glad they are banned. Durova is known as a hard-worker, and though she has made mistakes in the past, they are nothing in comparison to the antics of Greg Kohs and Jon Awbrey, who conspire to disrupt Wikipedia as much as possible. On the Webcology radio program Durova raised the point that banned people become obsessed with Wikipedia and never move on with their lives, years later. It has been over two years since Gregory Kohs was banned. Greg - move on with your life and stop acting like you were jilted at the alter. Find another love/website. Surely you can spend your time pursuing a website that actually wants you, instead of one that clearly does not return your advances. There are quite a few people embarrassed for you.
yabba26, this is not ANI LOL "You were blocked because you appear to have endless amounts of time to waste other people's time:" You so Ad hominem! Where did you learn to talk like this? Rehashing the Wikipedian policy? ROFLMAOI was blocked for wasting other peoples time? And WTF are you doing on Wikipedia yourself if not wasting other peoples time? Do you think that your moors are better than others? You want to condescend, go back to your Bucket! You think you are Son of God, and you have the right answers? Please, you so Pathetic. Get a freaking Life.

While you have a point, it is also decidedly true that Durova and Shankbone are absolutely NOT "normal people".

That's not true. You were blocked because you appear to have endless amounts of time to waste other people's time:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions ...

Whoops, yabba26 has violated the Digg.com Terms of Service now. Those nasty, abusive comments should be removed sometime soon.

Al this is very sweet and very nice, that is that Wikipedia admins want to protect their own admins and major editors from stalking. But how about Wikipedia own admins stalking others? Here is a fresh example from WP admin, A._B. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:A._B.#Admin ...Despite several attempts by WebAPP fans to request discussing A._B. admin tools abuse (all which were blocked and had their discussions deleted) A._B. is STILL stalking our sites:As you can see with his repeated bans logs (all which are provided with a warning):http://www.roger-moore.com/images/uploads/wikipedi ...http://www.roger-moore.com/images/uploads/wikipedi ...http://www.roger-moore.com/images/uploads/wikipedi ...http://www.roger-moore.com/images/uploads/wikipedi ...From his static IP at: 67.166.201.11Which I am sure some of the WP admins visiting here could confirm. It is a disgrace for Wikipedia having such admins (stalkers) supervising in Wikipedia. I sincerely mean that Wikipedia should start cleaning its own system before going complaining against its editors and rivals.

Please disregard this unfortunate comment from me above. Its my mistake and misunderstanding. A._B. is doing a good job and I mean WP needs him.
