techcrunch.com — Sprout is a browser-based, WYSIWYG editor for Flash with an interface reminiscent of Photoshop or Dreamweaver. Designers can use it to create, publish and track Flash widgets, websites and mashups, thereby obviating the need for them to work with programmers who would cost time and money, and who might not execute designs satisfactorily.

"This is a wonderful tool for very beginning website development." this broken sentence bothers me. i can understand what it's trying to say. i apologize for the english remark. my boiling rage from the "dumbing us down" thread was trickling over to this one. the internet is for everyone.south texas? me too!

First, I never said it was programming language, as indicated by this snippet from my original post: "using it without prior understanding of the MARKUP".Second, I'm a professional web developer, meaning I work in PHP, PERL, JavaScript, AS 2.0 and VB.NET. I also know C and C++. I'm an expert in XHTML and valid markup. You don't have to tell me the difference between HTML and a programming language. Third, your satirical example -- (table+td+tr) != (div+style) wtf.. read up on what the difference is between conditional and assignment operators.Lastly, it's algorithm. kthankz! :)

hmm lets see...helping people by giving them workarounds and shortcuts, so even fewer people will be compelled to learn how to program stuff. Eventually, the blind masses will only have to press one huge red plastic button to get through life, and those of us who learned to do things the hard (and right) way will be responsible for them.

I'd definitely be a customer for Sprout...while I have had the satisfaction & pleasure of working with excellent desigers, face it, great designers are difficult to find and even more difficult to keep...whether a software can ever substitute a Class A designer is a million $ question, but for now, Sprout will do

Than again, there are people who find changing the color of a button alot easier than dealing with the architecture of a database system. ;)

I don't get it. What's the point?

I see your frustration, but how do you know seanieb has English as his/her first language? If it's not, writing English is an attempt at adjusting for _your_ comfort!

I know, that's the point. That's what it is in Firefox. It's a better browser!
