maxconsole.net — After news of Spore breaking the street date in Australia, we hear that Spore has already been cracked by a group called ?RELOADED? despite it?s use of SecuROM, the anti-pirating software. (the same one used in BioShock) There are currently over 10,000 people downloading the game on just one public torrent tracker. All this 4 days before release.

From what I've heard, though, you're locked out of Sporepedia. Which means no downloaded items.Of course, I do point out that this doesn't prove to EA or any other developers that DRM is a dumb idea. It proves to them that they need stricter DRM and more copy protections, because all of us gamers are just pirates.

Try TBP, it has more seeders. Not that I wish to affiliate myself with such naughty, illegal activities.

I've already pre-ordered, and encourage everyone who plans on playing the game for more than an hour pay for it in full, but frankly EA deserves this. Their lack of respect for gamers as a whole is ridiculous.

I don't feel bad about this at all. They're charging $100 AUD for this; which is about $90 USD. f**k that, I'm not going to pay that much.

Can I extend that hour to 3 hours? That is about how long I plan on messing around with this game, I really have not much of an interest in it.I think this just proves that once again Steam and Stardock are still the winners in the pc market. Digital distribution is the way to go. Especially with a game like this that benefits from online use so much.
