Congress broke the law by passing their authority to coin money elsewhere. That's the Supreme Court's verdict. The Fed exists illegally. It needs abolishing. The only reason Ron Paul wants to audit it is so everyone goes nuts about it's books and the thing gets bulldozed.

Fractional reserve lending is a ponzi scheme...really. The capital requirements for lending is something like 8 to 1. That means for every one dollar (or other currency) you bring in, you can lend it out 8 times. How this is not considered a Ponzi is beyond me. You just need a regulatory license to do it.
