cannabis.net— These are pictures of webs of spiders that were given drugs, the diffrent drugs are - LSD, mescaline, hashish, and the worst caffeine

Supposedly, these pictures inspired Jim Morrison and some of his buddies to go into the desert to look for the peyote cactus (the source of mescaline) way back in the 60s. Just some trivia from someone who was tripping in the 60s. Also, while body weight is important in determining dosage, reactions vary widely between species.
The fact that you can overdose on caffeine does not make it worse than cocaine, sorry. The psychiatric effects of caffeine are the result of overdosing, not the desired effects of the drug. Cocaine, on the other hand, has a euphoric effect which is the primary cause for its addictive qualities. You can kick a physical addiction to cocaine in a day, with proper treatment. You can't kick the psychological addiction. Your coca tea has enough cocaine for those effects to be felt. Further, if 1 kg of coca leaves produces 1 gram of cocaine, then the 1 gram of tea produces 1 mg of cocain. Not enough for a high, certainly. But enough to warrant concern.
NO. Coca tea does NOT have the same effects as cocaine, and that is why it LEGAL IN THE UNITED STATES. That was my whole point. In low doses, cocaine is not too different from caffeine. You'll feel more alert and focused. I know because I quit caffeine years ago and have switched to green and coca teas. "The fact that you can overdose on caffeine does not make it worse than cocaine, sorry."No s**t. That doesn't matter. I'm just stating that caffeine isn't harmless. I hope we can both agree on that. "The psychiatric effects of caffeine are the result of overdosing, not the desired effects of the drug. Cocaine, on the other hand, has a euphoric effect which is the primary cause for its addictive qualities. You can kick a physical addiction to cocaine in a day, with proper treatment. You can't kick the psychological addiction."Again you're talking about the street cocaine that your mother probably snorted while pregnant with you. This is NOT what I am talking about. Coca contains TRACE amounts of cocaine. It doesn't contains enough to give you a psychologically addictive buzz. Not that coca tea is not psychologically addictive, but so is the Internet, regular tea, coffee, video games, music, sex and gambling. Everything in moderation is fine, including heroin. Self-control is another issue altogether. Alcohol causes liver damage, and it is both psychologically and physically addicting. If I were to drink a drop, would I be doomed? No, and unless you're going to stick 10 coca tea bags into your mouth with something basic (lime, etc) then you're not going to be doing much harm to yourself. This brings me back to my point: Coca tea is safer than, say, coffee, when taken as recommended. I am talking about a cup of coca tea VS a cup of coffee. Not an extract of 1000 coca tea bags VS 1 cup of coffee. Believe it or not, being sober your entire life or being intoxicated your entire life are not your only options. People CAN and DO use drugs in moderation with no adverse effects. What's wrong with smoking a joint on New Year's Eve? What's wrong with a little wine after Christmas dinner? What's wrong with a cup of coca tea? What about opium tea? (In the Middle East they serve opium tea during a funeral)What's wrong with a cigarette or a cigar on special occasions? A tab of ecstasy? A hit of acid? A dose of shrooms? Some chocolate? Some ice cream? Nothing is wrong with these things. It only becomes a problem when you're spending all your money on crack, or you've become a daily smoker, or you drink to deal with your problems, or eat sugar when you're bored. Moderation is the key. Prohibition causes more harm than good.
I thought that the drugs caused adverse effects to the silk production, making it thin and weak, especially the LSD. And maybe the LSD made the web so thin the spider spun the web more densely to keep the strength up.
@ asdfasdf That last post was absolutely amazing. If I could digg you up 10000 times, I would. Thank you so much for explaining that so perfectly, you have been friended :)
