jakebechtold.blogsome.com — I know this is off of my site, but I felt it was digg worthy. One thing about Windows XP that has really bothered people is that sometimes it takes forever to shutdown. Listed are two ways to fix this problem.

I had a guy call me for help one time, said his pc wouldn't turn on, so he brought it to me, and dropped it off, when I got home, I plugged it up, booted up and ran with no problem, he comes to pick it up, and I said "yeah boots up fine" so he goes over to it, turns it on and it doesn't boot up, I said, what did you do, he said I did what I always do to boot up my pc I reached around the back and flipped the switch on the power supply..... I said do you turn your pc off that way too? he said Yep.... So I smacked him a few times, and taught him about the magic button on the front of the pc .... and all was good. So you could just hit that little switch on the back of the power supply, guaranteed superfast shut down!!!
