Peter Shah, cut a hole in the roof of his wooden shed and set up his modest eight-inch telescope inside. Even fast exposures need tracking software/motors. A "fast" exposure is typically under 1-2 minutes. I've seen some great images made up of shots in the 20-45 second range.Different methods yield different results.
