I can't access sourceforge here in China either and it's quite frustrating. Sourceforge should just edit or remove the political comments so they can unblock the site here. You have to question the appropriateness of politicizing sourceforge in the first place. It's a repository for open source software projects, not a political forum. Whatever a developer's views on China or any other political matter, it doesn't belong in sourceforge - post your rants in an appropriate forum like here at Digg, NOT at sourceforge.

Notepad once was my favorite text editor, although I switch to Ultraedit later on, I think Notepad is still one of the best text editors in the world. I appreciate the wonderful work by author of Notepad, however I don't see why he has to announce his political viewpoints in the SourceForge which is only a technical forum. Politics is surely not the first concern of SourceForge and its users. Besides, boycotting Beijing Olympics is not the best way to help China develop its democracy. And I still doubt whether SourceForge is really blocked or if it is just an internet congestion, it is sometimes hard to distinguish the two things.
