(This is my first Digg comment, so be gentle....)So I received an email from my father yesterday saying "Check out this article on mcall.com about Mr. Acerra....." Until his recent arrest and subsequent media coverage, John Acerra was just the guy who taught my 6th grade Social Studies and English classes (back in 1986). So now I am a proud graduate of Nitschmann Middle School - the middle school that has (had) a drug-dealing, watching-porn-in-his-office-while-naked principal. Good job, Mr. Acerra - what a wonderful way to throw your life down the drain. On a side note, this guy was actually one of my favorite teachers from back in the day. I'm absolutely shocked at what I've been reading about his arrest. It's amazing how much a man can change between 1986 and today. Now I have to try to remember my other middle school teachers, so I can select a new favorite of the batch. The article is incorrect, or it's a typo. It was meant to say something along the lines of "28-year veteran". I believe his age is around 50 right now.
