blog.foreignpolicy.com — According to papers filed with the SEC, in the fourth quarter of 2006 Soros purchased nearly 2 million shares of ... hold your breath ... Halliburton. The Halliburton shares reportedly went for an average purchase price of $31.30 a share. That puts Soros' total investment in Halliburton at around $62.6 million, or about 2% of his total portfolio.

"I do find it interesting that if it had been a republican who bought the stock, the first few posts would have mentioned war profiteering, but because it's George Soros the comments actually praise the guy for buying Halliburton stock. Unbelievable."That's doublethink in action for you. There is no such thing as an intellectually honest leftie anymore...

like how Soro actually supports democracies with his money, and doesn't start wars with other people's moneybut apart from that you're 100% right

OK Check it out...This guy Soros he's a democrat right? Having donated big time, (a cool 24mil the article says) I imagine he may well become a man of some influence during the next (Democratic) presidential term. His owning of shares in a company that makes money out of war, will put him at odds with some elements in the Democratic party that are hoping to start bringing troops home as soon as they take office. He figures they 'owe him one' after all those camping donations. So he -their old buddy- puts pressure on them re troop numbers and expenditure on war. This is not likely to be the only pressure source to keep that USA firmly stationed in Iraq I fear we will see more. The NWO has it's ways

So, will liberal organizations continue to accept Soros' "blood money?"
firesparklegirlMar 15, 2007
Yes of course they will. Lots of good people work in liberal organizations and they really believe in the work they do, yet I'm telling you that you gotta loose that 'liberal = automatically good' ethos. Soros is clearly for the establishment. This latest investment proves it. I would be interested to check out some of his previous philanthropic works and see how he has played his part in the bigger picture. For example is he a member of the bilderberg group? What about his 'The Open Society Institute' ? Yeah this stuff he does, i admit it looks all good and shinny on the surface but dig deeper to find the globalist agenda. For example the work his institute was doing in Eastern Europe in the 90's, can you see how that served the pro-globalist adgenda of the time?People like him and Gates can act in a BIG way on social, health and other issues without even the constraints or accountability of government. Very worrying. Yep he's one of them. Definitely. This whole Haliburton deal seals it for me.
