The whole appeal of the site was that you could watch TV shows on the Internet for free. Same thing you could do on the individual network websites anyway. Charging kinda-sorta defeats the whole purpose of the site existing. Is the 10 seconds of time it would take to type in comedycentral.com when wanting to watch the Colbert Report worth whatever they will charge? Absolutely not, especially with all of the sites that have free TV available, including YouTube (even with their copyright policies), side reel, and others. RIP Hulu.

That's why I pirate tv shows because living on the mainland (Europe) I cant access HULU. NB. I would be happy to pay for a subscription to access HULU but until then its torrents for me.

You complain about the video experience on a Mac or Linux, then want them to get rid of the only halfway useful cross-platform video format? If you're hoping for Theora video, then I'd like to point out that you'll never get it, even if you pay for it. Anything else, other than Flash, will never be deliverable to Linux.
